My other website

Negotaiting the internet is a bit of a challenge when you first start setting up blogs and wesbites and such.

Somehow along the way I managed to have a wordpress blog, two blogger blogs and now I have a website with my blog attached.

The advantage of the blogger method is you can get people to follow you which I love. I love following people myself.

However having everything on one platform is also very appealling.

So here is a link to my site:

And this is my facebook author page

My new novel is out on Amazon now. Paperback copy coming soon!

Why so quiet on this blog?

I have been busy thinking about my writing blogging of late. I am about to launch my firts book as an
e-book so I think a named blog is what's needed now so I might just retire this poor neglected blog I think.

My cooking blog is still very active so in the meantime please visit me there.

Short story 'newspaper' hits bookshops | The Bookseller

This looks like a great idea to get fiction out to people. A free newspaper full of short stories given out free through bookshops. How completely fabulous!

This is London based but it would be lovely to see something similar happen here in Australia.

Short story 'newspaper' hits bookshops The Bookseller

Hopefully it will give lots of authors an opportunity to have their work read and appreciated by a wider audience. That's always a challenge for authors but especially for those just starting out.

Books to look out for

In 2008 I was was selected for the QWC/Hachette Livre Manuscript Development course. I spent an amazing week in Queensland hanging out with seven other aspiring authors while being metored by the lovely team from Hachette Livre Australia and the great people from the QWC.

Three of the authors I met that week have books being released in Australia in the coming weeks.

Look out for Philippa Fiorett's second book Fragment of Dreams, the sequel to last year's wonderful release The Book of Love.

The delightful Favel Parrett's debut novel is out in May. Look for Past the Shallows in bookstores everywhere.

The final release will be Christopher Currie's Ottoman Motel. You may have seen or heard of Chris who proposed to his fiance in the book dedication. A great fellow and a true romantic.

I hope these books bring you much pleasure.
